Sanity Technology is currently undergoing Stage 2 expansion works within our facility in Fortitude Valley known as Sanity DC1. The facility is utilizing a chilled-water air-conditioning system which offers significant efficiency and capacity advantages over standard gas/air-cooled systems.
The copper piping will be shielded with insulation next week so this week is the last opportunity to see the exposed pipework. So we've taken this opportunity to snap a series of photos of the chilled water copper pipe work that gives a unique perspective of the extensive effort involved before completion.
This photo is looking down the 'cold aisle' of a couple of the new rows of cabinets where the new piping overhead can be seen over the 'hot aisles'. Unfortunately the photo is a bit blurry due to the contrasting light overhead.
Spiderweb of pipework near the entry of the room.
Pipework across the Hot Aisle Containment system (two rows of cabinets) to service four APC InRow A/C systems.
Entry of pipework over facility entrance where other electrical core servicing works are fed in via a separate entry point.
End caps of pipework in one of the HACS cabinet rows, looking back to main piping.
Large end taps on the end of the main 85mm chilled water piping - placed for future additional InRow A/C units.
Brand new aisles of cabinets with fresh pipework above.
Level angle at the pipework (rather than looking down or up) near the facility entrance.
Angle back towards the start of the DC, approximately half way down the chilled water pipework.
One of the many deliveries from APC Shneider Electric - so many boxes!
That's all we have today, another update will be coming shortly with photos from the outside pipework and platform area where the A/C chiller equipment will be located.
